Mission Statement

Alameda County Hep B Free works with existing initiatives and builds new partnerships and collaborations to make Alameda county free of Hepatitis B and liver cancer, utilizing the model established by the SF Hep B Free campaign. We will accomplish this by:

1. Creating public and healthcare provider awareness about the importance of testing and vaccinating at risk populations, especially APIs, for Hepatitis B.
2. Promoting routine Hepatitis B testing and vaccination within the primary care medical community.
3. Ensuring access to treatment for chronically infected individuals

Alameda County stretches from Albany and Berkeley in the North to Livermore in the East and all the way to Fremont in the South. It is home to approximately 1.4 million people.
